Thank you for boarding your pet with us. This boarding policy has been composed to inform you about your pet’s stay with us.

Please check the information on the boarding pass for accuracy. The services listed are those that will be invoiced when your pet goes home. Please alert the receptionist to any changes.

The emergency contact and agent authorization are items we hope we never need. Only rarely are they ever used. At those times they are essential. Should your pet become ill during its stay with us these are important to contact you and alert you to the problem. Should you not be reachable your agent will be contacted. Please make your agent aware of these arrangements and express your wishes of treatment to them. During this time your pet will be treated at your expense. In signing the boarding policy, you are agreeing to this procedure and assuming financial responsibility for costs incurred.

We require your pets to be fully vaccinated in accordance with our standards. Dogs require rabies, distemper, parvovirus, coronavirus, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and bordetella. Cats require rabies, feline distemper, panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, chlamydia psittaci and feline leukemia. A licensed veterinarian must perform these. Confirmation is required. Owner vaccinated pets are not accepted. If your pet has not had one of these immunizations, they may be performed at the time of admission. We recommend vaccination several days to weeks prior to admission for unvaccinated pets to allow immunity to develop. Please ask us for details. Initial vaccination upon admission is sometimes necessary due to unexpected situations requiring boarding. In these cases the owner accepts the increased risk of disease as immunity develops.

Your pet will be checked by a member of our health care team for external parasites such as fleas and ticks. If these are discovered, your pet will need to be bathed and dipped prior to admission. The receptionist can give you information on the fees. If you would like to have any other procedures performed during your pets stay, please be sure to let us know.

Any item you feel would make your pets stay more comfortable is welcome. Favorite blankets, towels, toys, or your pet’s bed are examples. We will inventory these items when you come in. Bedding and towels belonging to your pet will be regularly washed. If there are items that cannot be machine washed, please let us know. Occasionally, our boarders will elect to destroy their belongings. Please understand we cannot be responsible for the items damaged. Our own bedding often comes to a premature end this way, too. We consider it a cost of doing business. We appreciate your understanding.

Pets receiving baths other than stated above will be” laundered” on the day of dismissal. They will be ready that afternoon. Pets being picked up in the morning will receive their bath a day earlier. This makes arranging a pickup time very important. This will be confirmed when you check in.

The financial policy of Critter Care Animal Hospital is that payment is expected at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. A deposit of fifty percent of the estimated fee will be required for new patients boarding with us.

Our accommodations include lodging in our indoor, climate controlled suites, runs, or condos suited to the size of your pet; feeding twice a day with Science Diet or Prescription Diet (or, if you prefer, owner-provided food). Fresh water will be available at all times. Your pets quarters will be cleaned and sanitized at least twice a day. Three daily walks are provided on a leash to our canine residents. Daily heartworm medication, vitamins brought from home, or prescriptions will be administered. We can also provide other services; just ask us at check-in. We are excited to have your pet staying with us!
